GODS OF JUSTICE CONTEST

The GODS OF JUSTICE superhero anthology (including my story IDENTITY CRISIS) is now available via Smashwords!

I'm very excited about this anthology. The print version will soon be available as well. It's an awesome book, and I WANT TO SHARE IT WITH YOU. So if you'll help me spread the word, I will give one of you a pdf copy of your very own. I'll even throw in a first chapter critique to sweeten the deal. ;D

So how do you enter? Simply leave a comment with your email, so I can let you know if you win, along with what superpower you would want if you could have one. Tweet and blog up to five times for extra entries - just be sure to leave me the links and a total count in your comment. I'll announce the winner in one week (Monday June 27). Be sure to come back then because I have an amazing special guest that day you won't want to miss.

And for those of you in need of something writing-related, I posted today on Enchanted Inkpot about Fantasy Sub-genres. So if you get a chance go check it out!

  1. Cool! I would want to fly. Though I just watched I am Number Four last night and some of their powers were pretty cool too.

    Off to tweet!

  2. Sounds really cool! Superpower--the ability to really, truly multitask effectively. Lame, perhaps, but man, I could really use that power!

  3. Just bought it, Lisa, so you don't need to enter me in the contest, but if I could have a superpower, I'd want it to be the ability to think my story onto paper! That is a superpower, right?...right??? :-)

Can't wait to read your story as soon as I've posted to my blog this morning!

  4. I really have to write my answer down. Every time someone asks, I can't remember what it is.

Maybe superpowers that make me super fast . . . so I can clean my house in the blink of the cliched eye, and have more time for my writing. :D

(oh, who am I kidding? It's not like I've put cleaning first, second, or even third on my list of things to do!)

  5. Oh, this looks cool! I'm torn about the superpower. My heart says flying because I've wanted it since I was five, but my head says teleportation. After all, I'd get all the places I could fly to without the hassle of dodging birds and planes, not to mention the pesky temperature problem above the clouds. Plus, with teleportation I could go on instant vacations. Just think: a weekend in Patagonia, travel time 0h, travel expense $0.

  6. Woo hoo! Yay for Gods of Justice! Ok, like Laura, I wish I could fly. That way I could visit exotic places and still be home in time to cook dinner :D

  7. Wow, Lisa! Superheroes? I'm on-board all the way!!

My superpower would have to be the ability to dematerialize (teleportation). Like mentioned above, it would cut out travel expenses, and you could be home in time to cook dinner. :)

Definitely going to be sharing the word this week!

  8. Awww, you guys are all awesome! And I'm loving the superpower answers! I had to answer that question for the publisher's website author bio myself. ;D It had something to do with attacking that laundry monster in the other room...

  9. You don't have to enter me because I'll be buying this as soon as a printed version is available! However, I will be spreading the word!

  12. Cool deal! I'm a huge fan of story anthologies. I speak of my desired superpower often: the ability to touch a book and immediately know the full contents. I will tweet this too!

  13. Congrats on the release. I'd go for powers that let me interact/be the four elements: earth, air, fire and water. Not just manipulate them, but be part of them. Oh the things I'd do! Count on a retweet, post, etc.

  14. I have forever wanted to have the ability to shapeshift. Halloween would be soo easy! And, of course, I would also fight for Truth, Justice, and the Shakesperean Way. I already retweeted.

  15. Congratulations on your book, Lisa! How exciting. I love all the super power comments. I think I would choose to be able to make time stand still while I get caught up on things I need to do!

Your posts haven't been coming through to my Google Reader, but I learned how to fix that, so I'll copy & paste your URL into the "Add" section on my dashboard. Still learning all this stuff!

  16. Cool! I tweeted (http://twitter.com/#!/susankayequinn/status/82875660258906112)!

My super power would be to heal what's hurting people inside. :)

  17. I shall tweet and blog, but I will be buying a copy so don't enter me in el contesto. I would so fly (shut up Dr. Freud) if I could have a super power. Wait - I'm changing my mind, I'd want to eat everything I wished and never gain a pound.

  18. What fun!
But you already knew I had a superpower, didn't you?

  19. I want the superpower of being able to remember things I want/need to remember. What? Not a superpower? Seems like one to me...
    (I can already fly :)

Super-power, hmmm, I think I would want the power from the dagger in Prince of Persia so I could reverse time just enough to get a "redo" when needed.

  23. I don't want to be greedy, but I kind of want ALL those superpowers...

And to those of you have already purchased the book: I'm touched. Thank you so much! Your support means the world to me.

  24. Very cool! Congrats on the anthology :) I would be Language Girl!!!!! I would be able to speak and understand every language, including animal communications!!! Okay, it's not so intimidating, but it's practical :) Plus, I would be able to yell at the bears who get into our trash cans :)

  25. My super power dream is pretty simple compared to all of these others. I'd just like to fly under my own power. Of course, I wouldn't turn down other super powers if I got offers to have them.

I be off to Tweet a few times. Adios.

  26. Congratulations to you! How exciting! Yea!

As for a superpower. . . I'd love to either be able to take away pain or move crazy fast. If there was a way to combine both, all the better. Dare to dream. : )

  27. Very exciting! I like the premise.

Superpower - oh my. They usually end up having their downsides, don't they?

I think flying would be wonderful though. That or the ability to swim underwater like a mermaid :)

  28. I would want the ability to control time *__*

  29. Cool! Teletransporting. I would give anything to travel anywhere whenever I wanted without having to use airplanes.

  30. I love super heroes! Big Marvel fan, so I can't wait to read this anthology. Congratulations Lisa! If I could have a superpower it'd be automatic renewal - no need for sleep. Then I'd actually be able to do all those things at night that I never have time for during the day. (laurisawhitereyes@yahoo.com)

  31. I've always said I would want to fly, but really, I'd want the superpower to be able to understand, read and speak any and all languages. That would be awesome and incredibly convienent!

    and here:

And I'd have to say mind-reading. Maybe it's the author thing? But only if I could turn it on and off at will. Or.... Sherlock Holmes skills. Because those're totally superpowers.

If I could have a super power - it would be the ability to be in two places at once :) One of me at work and the other at my writing desk (i.e. couch) ;)
