Why I'm Thankful

I'm grateful for many things. But at the top of my list are my writing friends. Maybe I'm a sap, but I REALLY do think of so many of you as friends. And no matter what place you're at in your career, be it beginner or published author from the NYT bestseller list, I love you all. Without the support of each other, I can't imagine doing this. It must have been especially difficult pre-Internet. Of course SCBWI has been around for an amazing 40 years plus. But no matter where you find them, writing peeps are a must.

Thank you all for being part of my life.

Thank you for letting me be a part of yours.

Happy Thanksgiving. And don't tick off the turkey.

  3. Yay! Happy Thanksgiving. We don't celebrate it down here in Australia but considering how huge Halloween is, it shouldn't be long before we latch on to this. It's a festival of eating, isn't it? I'll be in that!

I'm a sap too, cos I think of all the writing twitterers and bloggers as friends too. Maybe that's a sign I should get out more? LOL!

  5. I agree with an exponent. I felt I'd discovered a magical land when I finally embraced being a writer and was privy to this amazing community. You know my life wouldn't be the same without you. xo

  9. Love this post, Lisa. But it's so true. I started writing without writing friends. Non-writing friends just don't get it like writing friend. :D

  11. Right at this moment, I'm glad it takes me a few days to read the folks I follow on Blogger. I had a lot I felt thankful for on Thanksgiving; today, OTOH, I needed a bit of a reminder. So--what you said, and thanks for being one of those! ♥
